ew Zealands tenth Monteith’s
Craft Beer Bar, The Tasting Room; has been put together
to offer the best in creative beer and food matching
along with providing a premium drinking environment.
As with any top brewery, the tasting room is the last
port of call on a brewery tour where one can indulge
oneself in the joy of tasting the best of the beer on
offer; so it is with The Tasting Room. The last spot
at the end of Wellington’s bustling Courtenay
Place, a haven providing the Monteith’s famous
family of fine boutique brews and regular seasonal brews
all matched up with a menu offering an inspirational
range of food with an overriding wild food theme put
together by Len Baldwin, partner, executive chef and
three times winner of the Monteith’s Wild Food
Challenge.
The Tasting Room is a modern interpretation of the
traditional public house, what we like to call a gastropub;
offering the best in food and drink. It incorporates
elements of the West Coast past brought together in
a sophisticated contemporary environment of leather,
oak and stone.

The Flying Burrito Brothers we are proud to bring you
another fine establishment. The Tasting Room is the
ideal spot for lunch, dinner, afterwork socializing,
pre-theatre dining, lunch in the weekend or just pop
in anytime and enjoy a delicious Monteith’s beer
matched with some tantalizing food.
Our hour will be Monday to Friday, 11am to late and
weekends 10am to late. We look forward to seeing you
