MONTEITH'S RICH AND SPICY OUD BRUIN,
meaning "Old Brown", originates from Oudenaarde
in Flanders, Belgium. Dating back to the mid 1600s,
it is characterised by a smooth, full body and complex
blend of malts. Unique brewing spices, merged with carefully
selected hops, result in a slight tartness, evocative
of aniseed and a delicate Fuggles hop aroma.

Juicy description
Monteith's latest limited-release
treasure, Oud Bruin, is a rich and spicy treat distinguished
by a mouth-watering full body. It is one of the world's
classic beer styles that dates back to the mid-1600s.
Oud Bruin literally means 'Old Brown', and originates
from the historic town of Oudenaarde in Flanders, Belgium.
Monteith's Oud Bruin has been crafted to reflect the
sour-and-sweet essence that is typical of this sprightly
beer style.
Characterised by an ample pale malt base combined with
a complex blend of chocolate and Vienna malts, Monteith's
Oud Bruin delivers a pleasingly smooth and full body.
Its deep brown hue replicates the colours of the winter
months, which is accentuated by the brew's warm cocoa
notes and hearty 5.5% alcohol content.
Generous use of the Saaz hop variety offers a slight
tartness, which joyfully balances the smoothness of
the three malts, whilst the use of Fuggles hop delivers
a delicate aroma. Unique brewing spices, favoured by
Belgium brewers, blesses Monteiths Oud Bruin with a
unique spicy character evocative of aniseed.
Monteith's Oud Bruin is delectably matched with a true
Belgium favourite, Flemish beef and onion stew.
